About

Harvest Moon Cafe’s story began in 1998 as a small bread market in Cave Spring, Georgia. Soon after opening, Ginny started selling sandwiches, and our Cave Spring home became well-known for its delicious fare and funky atmosphere.

In January 1999, Ginny opened a second sandwich shop on East 2nd Avenue in downtown Rome to satisfy her loyal Rome commuters. The restaurant soon outgrew this new location. So, she and Doc, her husband, renovated the Fahy Department Store (built 1895) on Broad Street.

Renovation of the historic location took over a year to complete. In 2001, the Harvest Moon Cafe opened with expanded seating and an outdoor patio, serving full lunch and dinner.

The restaurant didn’t stop growing there! Sunday Brunch Buffet is now offered every week. We also provide on- and off-site full catering service. The restaurant now boasts two late-night bars – the Moon Roof Bar and the Dark Side of the Moon Bar.

Pulling from local and organic sources, we do our best to serve only the freshest produce here at Harvest Moon. We only use Certified Angus Beef (Gold Star Member), Southern-raised catfish, and all of our breads are baked in-house! We provide vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options (just ask your server).

Our bars have embraced the craft beer movement, and we only select the finest wines to serve to you. We have a wide range of premium liquors to imbibe you, also!

Since opening Harvest Moon Cafe, we have had a large influence on the growth of the downtown Rome area. We are proud to serve visitors and residents on beautiful Broad Street, and we look forward to many more full moons!
